President Mahama Spotted With Patoranking in Japan: “Everyone Loves Him”

President John Dramani Mahama was captured with Nigerian musician and songwriter Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, aka Patoranking, in Japan.
The Nigerian musician seemed excited to meet President Mahama as they shook hands and talked.

In a video on X, even though what they were talking about was not heard, the two laughed heartily and enjoyed their chat.
President John Mahama was wearing a kaftan, and Patoranking a black suit and shades.
The President and the musician met at the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Japan.
This is not the first time a Mahama is meeting with Patoranking. In March 2025, Patoranking, joined President John Dramani Mahama's youngest son Sharaf Mahama for a night of boxing and entertainment on Ghana's Independence Day.
The two had already met at the scaled-down 68th Independence Day celebration at the Flagstaff House where the President addressed Ghanaians about the nation's independence, which he described as 'the single most important event in our history'.
After the occasion, Sharaf Mahama led Patoranking to Bukom which has fast become the enviable hotspot for boxing in Ghana.
