Hilda Baci tests the giant pot

In a new viral video, Hilda was seen testing the massive six-meter-wide and six-meter-tall pot with the help of her culinary team and representatives from popular food brand Gino, her official partners for the project.

The dry run, which involved cooking a huge batch of Nigerian Jollof rice, gave fans a glimpse of the scale of the upcoming attempt. Hilda and her team stirred the giant pot with oversized ladles, ensuring that the flavours and consistency matched the high standards she is known for.

Sharing videos from the test, the award-winning chef announced that everything was on track for the main event on September 12, 2025, when she will officially attempt the record.

“Dry run was a success, see y’all on 12th September,” the video caption read, as Hilda smiled and encouraged her fans to come out and witness history being made.

Hilda Baci, who rose to global fame after her 100-hour cooking marathon in 2023, has consistently described this new challenge as “more than just cooking,” but a celebration of West African culture, food, and unity.
