On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the wife of the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon took to her official Instagram page to announce that she and her husband had secretly welcomed their third child in 2024.
Gifty Mawuena Dumelo shared photos of herself flaunting her baby bump while posing for the camera with her husband, John Dumelo.
She also shared adorable photos of her family, including her two older children, John Dumelo Jnr and Malike Dumelo, with the new baby.

John Dumelo's wife also accompanied the photos with a heartwarming message for her son, Demi Jacob Kudzo Dumelo, as part of his first birthday celebration.
In the caption of the social media, Gifty Dumelo wrote:
"A year ago, God blessed us with you, Demi Jacob Kudzo Dumelo. Our campaign baby, our smart bubbly king, our dimpled cheeks baby, our peaceful baby…….Your arrival has brought us immense joy, happiness and laughter."
"Our prayer for you is that your name, Demi, which means deliver us in the ewe language, will continue to serve its purpose in Jesus' name. Happiest first birthday. We love you, son❤️."
Gifty Dumelo's unveiling of her third child with John Dumelo came as a big surprise for many Ghanaians, who did not know that the Ayawaso West Wuogon MP had been pregnant and was expecting.
Despite welcoming Demi Jacob Kudzo Dumelo in 2024, the couple kept him hidden from the public for many months, even during the election campaign season.
This marked the second time she had kept the news of a baby delivery private from the public and unveiled the child a year after she did the same with her daughter Malike's arrival a few years ago.

John Dumelo and Gifty Mawuena Dumelo married in a beautiful, grand wedding at the Royal Senchi Resort in Akosombo in 2019.

A few months after their wedding, the couple welcomed their first child, John Dumelo Jnr, in October 2019. They also welcomed their second child, a daughter named Malike Dumelo, in 2022.

John Dumelo visits his mother's burial site
In another story reported by YEN.com.gh, John Dumelo visited his mother's burial site on the second anniversary of her demise.
In a photo, the Ayawaso West Wuogon MP held flowers as he stood beside his late mother, Antoinette Ama Ampomaa Dumelo's grave at the cemetery.
John Dumelo also accompanied the photo with an emotional message to mark his mother's two-year death anniversary.
