Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has jabbed the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, days after he was released on bail by the agency.

The EOCO detained Shatta Wale on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, following an investigation into his purchase of a yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus.

The vehicle, one of the most luxurious in the flashy musician’s fleet, was linked by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to a Ghanaian jailed for fraud in the United States.

The EOCO seized the Lamborghini in May and invited the musician to aid investigations, after which they detained him.

Shatta Wale was granted bail in the sum of GH₵ 10million with two sureties, later reduced to GH₵ 5million. He met his bail conditions and gained his freedom on Thursday, August 21.

Shatta Wale thanks Raymond Archer after bail

After spending about 24 hours in the custody of EOCO, Shatta Wale celebrated his freedom by going live on TikTok to address his fans.

He expressed his gratitude to them for their support after hundreds had assembled at the EOCO demanding his freedom.

Shatta Wale thanked the EOCO boss, Archer, for his help in navigating the legal processes necessary for him to gain freedom.

Days after his release from EOCO custody and his video thanking Raymond Archer for his help, Shatta Wale slammed him during an appearance at a concert.

While performing at the Osu Homowo festival at Hydout Pub on Tuesday, August 26, the musician declared that he fears no one in the country and emphasised his point with a vulgar insult.

He reiterated that all his wealth was made from music and that he has nothing to fear from any law enforcement agency.

Shatta Wale also declared that if anyone dared to challenge him, he would purchase another Lamborghini just to prove the legitimacy of his wealth.

“Let me tell you something, I don't fear anyone in Ghana. I do music, and I do it the hard way. They don't want Ghanaian artists to flaunt whatever we want, but if they try me, I'll buy another Lamborghini within the next two months,” he said.

Shatta Wale takes spiritual bath after release

Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Shatta Wale took a spiritual bath to cleanse himself after his release from EOCO detention, heading to the Next Door Beach in Teshie, just days after his release.

Videos of the ceremony showed the musician removing his all white attire to enter the water, wearing only his boxer shorts for the ritual believed to signify renewal and protection from negative spirits.
