Controversial Ghanaian political commentator, Appiah Stadium, has courted attention following his encounter with a pregnant woman.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the social media sensation joined prominent NDC officials, including the party's Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, as they visited Sikaman-Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The delegation visited the community to express their gratitude to the 13 residents who helped recover the remains of the eight victims from the August 6 helicopter crash on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.
At an event held at Sikaman-Brofoyedu, the president donated GH¢100,000 to the rescuers and GH¢20,000 to the Adansi Traditional Council for related rites. The 13 rescuers were also assured employment

Appiah Stadium sobs during encounter with woman
During the visit to Sikaman-Brofoyedu, Appiah Stadium encountered a pregnant woman with her children sitting under a hut as he toured the community, which was facing severe developmental challenges.
The woman gave an eyewitness account of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed eight lives, including cabinet ministers Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.

During their interaction, Appiah Stadium gifted the pregnant woman GH₵200 for her upkeep. He also spoke about how President John Dramani Mahama had transformed his life over the years and appealed for prayers for him.
The staunch NDC supporter broke down in tears as he called out critics who have accused the president of allegedly being responsible for the helicopter crash.
Disheartened by the pregnant woman and her family's living conditions, Appiah Stadium promised to seek support from prominent individuals like Ibrahim Mahama, Nick Kofi Adjei Danso Abbeam and Kumasi-based road contractor, Aboagye Contractor, on her behalf.
The political commentator also pledged to personally build a new house for the pregnant woman and her family if he failed to secure support from his rich associates.
