On Monday, August 18, 2025, the record producer took to his official X (formerly Twitter) page to accuse the SM boss of stealing his intellectual property.
M.O.G Beatz alleged that Shatta Wale had used his intellectual property to scam an international company worth millions to fund his expensive lifestyle and throw shade at his colleagues in the Ghanaian music industry.
He wrote:
"You scammed an international company using my intellectual property because you wanna buy expensive cars to “flex” on your colleagues?? Old man, you’ll regret touching my work!"
In a voice note recording he later shared on his page, the music producer called on the dancehall musician to dialogue with the international company he had allegedly scammed before they approached him for a resolution.
M.O.G. Beatz alleged that Shatta Wale had illegally claimed ownership of over 25 beats he produced for him and sold them to a foreign company for a lot of money.
He threatened to provide evidence and expose the musician if he dared to respond to the accusations with a defamation suit.
M.O.G. Beatz also shared that he had successfully gotten two of Shatta Wale's albums, Reign and Wondaboy, removed from the Apple Music streaming platform over alleged intellectual property theft.
He also threatened to get more of the dancehall musician's music projects removed from the various music streaming platforms.
Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh on MOG's allegations against Shatta
Speaking to YEN.com.gh, entertainment analyst Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh shared his thoughts on M.O.G Beatz's allegations against Shatta Wale over his intellectual property.
He said:
"It is an interesting case of intellectual property (IP) theft, and it will be great to see how it will pan out eventually. MOG Beats obviously has a case, but we will see if this goes to court or is settled amicably by the two parties. However, the social media gimmicks have reduced the importance of this case."
