Samuel Dabo Bemoans Rambo-Style Invigilation by WAEC, Cries For Students

Ghanaian actor and the founder of Dabo Soccer Academy, Samuel Yaw Dabo, has lamented about this year's WASSCE and the efforts to clamp down on malpractices.

The actor's complaint comes after an encounter between the Head of Public Relations at WAEC, John Kapi, and a suspicious invigilator made headlines.
According to a Joy News report, the invigilator's unusual attire raised suspicions among the visiting West African Examinations Council (WAEC) team, who were on a routine inspection at Armed Forces Secondary School in Burma Camp.
Upon further investigation, the invigilator's phone was discovered to contain leaked questions from the ongoing exams, including Picture Making and Oral English.

Consequently, the WAEC team reportedly confiscated the device and has since launched an investigation into the matter.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the routine inspection appeared to have happened while the students were in their halls writing the exams.
According to Yaw Dabo, the WAEC officers' efforts have the potential to cause fear and panic among the students.
In one video, John Kapi, strolling through the exam hall, interrupted a student to check his paper.
He also lamented the deployment of military officers to act as invigilators for the exams.
Yaw Dabo visits John Mahama's hometown
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Yaw Dabo had called on President John Dramani Mahama to prioritise the development of his hometown, Bole.
This comes after the movie star's visit to Bole for a football event organised by his academy.
Dabo demonstrated that people in the president's hometown were huge soccer fans and communicated the need for proper pitches in the community to the president.
