A young Ghanaian man has shared a fascinating account of how relocating from Ghana to the United States unexpectedly led him into the US Army.

Taking to his TikTok page, the Ghanaian, identified as Sir Steve, narrated how his journey started right at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

He explained how he met with a woman soldier who gave him life-changing career advice.

In his words:

"She said to me, 'Join the military, and your life will never be the same.'"

According to him, he was intrigued and fascinated by her advice, so he began researching opportunities within the US military.

Sir Steve explained that his first stop was an Air Force recruiting center, but after much thought, he opted out.

He then claimed to have eventually joined the US Army, where he was officially sworn in.

Reflecting on his experience, he encouraged the locals in Ghana who plan to relocate to America, especially those with a green card, to consider the military as a foundation for their future.

“Today, I’m here to tell you that the military can be the best place to prepare grounds before you set up your preferred career. Don’t be afraid, know your why, and focus,” he advised.
