Nigerian Lady Sparks Outrage With Her Cultural Observations About Ghana, Video

A Nigerian lady has caused a series of reactions on social media after she shared her personal opinion and observation from her time in Ghana.

Though not disclosing how long she had been in the country, the young lady, identified as Tovia Goodness on TikTok, shared some 'cultural' differences that she found bizarre in Ghana.

She narrated her story through a series of images taken on a Ghanaian beach alongside captions on each of the images.

The captions contained a mix of amusement and frustration, ranging from culinary confusion to observations of social behaviours among Ghanaians.

In the first caption, she said:

"They call soup stew and stew soup, which, after I checked, I found out they are right and we [Nigerians] are wrong."

She also said she had noticed that the citizens usually paint the country's flag colours everywhere.

She added that she had also noticed a social norm she found absurd and strange compared to her country.

In her words:

"They don’t care if things are wrong and keep it to themselves. They mind their businesses even when something is going wrong, unlike Nigeria, where 1 or 2 people will come and know what is going on, and they help out."

It was her claims that Ghanaians are known for snatching phones and breaking into houses to commit theft that triggered reactions.

She also stated that it was easy for one to find an 18-year-old mother of three children.
