Committee report contradicts nurse’s assault claim

The committee was set up following an incident involving Ralph St. Williams and nurses at the emergency unit of Ridge Hospital, also known as the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.

A viral video showed Ralph St. Williams in a heated altercation with nurses at the facility.

He was heard accusing them of neglecting a patient he had brought in for emergency treatment.

According to hospital management, the commotion caused by Ralph St. Williams and the group accompanying him resulted in Rejoice Tsotso Bortei sustaining an injury and losing her phone.

In response, Mintah Akandoh ordered the formation of a committee to probe the incident, which sparked strong criticism from professional associations and the general public.

However, the committee's final report contradicted the nurse’s claim that she suffered a dislocation as a result of the altercation.
